The Challenge
A confidential GCC government agency was establishing a Centre for Artificial Intelligence — a state-of-the-art facility housing supercomputers, CPUs, and GPUs, positioned at the forefront of research and innovation in support of the country’s diversification and innovation strategy.
The Centre was mandated to solve complex, large-scale challenges for industry and to support national Giga projects, requiring an entirely new team of world-class technical talent built from scratch.
Leadership needed a search partner with the reach and methodology to identify highly specialised engineers and technologists from competitive global markets under strict confidentiality.
Our Role
AcuityX developed and executed a targeted global search strategy, focusing on software engineers who had graduated from leading Computer Science universities in India, China, Singapore, and Eastern Europe, then progressed their careers at blue-chip technology companies including TikTok, Alibaba Group, UiPath, Huawei, and Salesforce.
Our research identified that candidates with five to seven years of post-qualification experience offered the strongest combination of hands-on coding proficiency — across languages including C++, Java, and Python — and working knowledge of key frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
AcuityX managed the full search process across all technical disciplines, presenting only the highest-calibre engineers, designers, and programmers against each requirement.
The Outcome
AcuityX successfully placed 14 highly specialised roles across the Centre, spanning Machine Learning Engineer, Computer Vision Engineer, Robotics Technician, Senior Backend Engineer, Senior Front-End Engineer, UI/UX Designer, Senior Lab Director, Senior Software Engineer, Data Scientist, System Architect, Senior Algorithm Engineer, Senior DevOps Engineer, Framework Engineer, and Natural Language Processing Engineer.
The team was assembled across five nationalities, with diversity actively factored into the search — including the placement of two female engineers.
The client received a complete, operationally ready technical team capable of driving the Centre’s research and innovation mandate from day one.
